The North Wales Local Investment Fund (LIF)

The Local Investment Fund (LIF) is a package of flexible financial support to assist new and existing businesses by offering capital grants of 40% of eligible projects, subject to a minimum of £1,000 and a maximum of £10,000 grant.

The scheme is targeted at small and medium sized enterprises (employing less than 250 people) with either a turnover not exceeding €50 million or a balance sheet not exceeding €43 million.

Welsh Government's Broadband Support Scheme

The Access Broadband Cymru scheme provides grants to help improve broadband in Wales.

The scheme complements the Superfast Cymru programme where the Welsh Government is working in partnership with BT to deliver fast fibre broadband across Wales. The scheme offers a Welsh Government funded grant to the value of 90% of the cost of the proposed installation, with a maximum grant of £900 available to eligible premises in Wales.

The scheme is open to individuals, businesses, third sector organisations and communities in Wales suffering from slow broadband connections who meet the following criteria:a broadband connection with a consistent download speed of less than 2 mega-bits per second have written and binding assurances from their chosen provider that the equipment to be installed is capable of supporting consistent superfast speeds.To find out more, please visit:

The Digital Development Fund

The Digital Development Fund is a £2 million fund designed to assist in supporting creative industries businesses to exploit new business markets in the global digital economy through emerging digital technologies.

The fund aims to support projects that can achieve significant commercial returns through international market opportunities. The Digital Development Fund can provide funding up to a maximum of £50,000 and up to 50 per cent of the eligible costs of each project. Support given under this fund is not repayable.

The fund is not intended to be used for start up investment, early stage research and development only projects, or for the digitisation of non-commercial creative products.
